In one hand she carries the noose whose very substance is attachment, the cord by which every creature is drawn toward what it loves.

In the stotra the name is chanted as it stands, rāgasvarūpapāśāḍhyā, as part of Shloka 2. In the nāmāvalī, the form used for arcana(worship with an offering at each name), it is turned to the dative, the case of offering: “to her”. Then it is framed by oṃ before and namaḥ, “salutation”, after.
