The bow she draws is made of sugarcane and is nothing other than the mind, sweet to the taste and bent by her hand.

In the stotra the name is chanted as it stands, manorūpekṣukodaṇḍā, as part of Shloka 3. In the nāmāvalī, the form used for arcana(worship with an offering at each name), it is turned to the dative, the case of offering: “to her”. Then it is framed by oṃ before and namaḥ, “salutation”, after.
